Anyone know what this is and how to treat? It's only on the left side the right gill is normal. I did a 60min formalin bath followed by 90 min ruby reef rally bath last night they are currently sitting in copper. Am I on the right track or anything else I should be treating them with? Thank you in advance

Video does not play but I can see the gill. Typical causes will be injury, infection and even gill flukes. How is the fish breathing?
Eating?

Any chance it is mechanical damage?

What dose was the formalin dip?

The only thing in the tank with them is a ceramic pot I don't see anyway it would be mechanical damage. There's four different pairs in the system one of which has similar issues but on both gills will get a video of them when I get home. Used 1ml per gallon of formalin.
Did get this in the bucket after the dip but the more I looked at it the more I thought it was just poop

I’d continue with the ruby reef dips, those are pretty mild. Since the fish is still eating, you don’t want to do anything too drastic.

For future reference, that 1 ml per gallon dose is too high. It is used by an “online expert” on fish diseases, but it is actually the dose for cold water fishes. Tropical fish should not be dosed higher that 0.75 ml per gallon, and I use 0.60 in most cases. You also must aerate the dip well during the process.

Appreciate the help. Should I take them out of the copper, do the 90 min bath and put them in a fresh saltwater QT, or treat the QT also?

Ah, I missed that they are in copper now - what product and what dose?

Here is my thought - you have two fish, but the gill damage is only on one gill of one fish. Parasites are typically more general in their coverage - affecting all fish at least to some degree. The treatments that you’ve used have all been anti-parasitical, but what if this is an injury with possible secondary bacterial infection?

Copper power 2.46
Thought it was parasites being the Darwin has a few white spots, but don't see any on the storm, which i found strange. Could the gill be a bacterial infection from parasites? Saw this morning there's not as many dots as there were before and breathing slowed down a bit. I have some Nitrofurazone, metroplex and kanaplex if you think that would help any. These are the only two spots I see as of today. The gill is still the same

Yes, as I mentioned this is likely a secondary bacterial infection. Some of these heal on their own, but of the drugs you mentioned, Kanaplex would be best.
