So i just noticed this on my clownfish (see picture)

I have no idea how this could be, he was in my previous tank for a good while, perfectly healthy & now i moved him & he looks like he has ich?…

I’m devastated

Strange, the fuzzy blue picture seems to show something on the fish but the clear white pictures don't seem to show anything to my old eyes.

Water parameters are fine except for alk wich is on the lower side (5.1)
No tank mates when it comes to fish, only 1 cleaning shrimp & dozen of snails.
I added some new snails yesterday.

I feed him mysis, artemia & Hikari marine pellets, i switch it up & feed 2-3 times a day.

Behavior right now is that he is swimming in 1 corner of the tank & keeps its mouth open. When i offer food he looks at it but doesn’t consume it.

Another blue pic added.

With these blue pics giving a better view I'm going to guess early stage brook with treatment being formulin in QT tank. Fish disease is activated by stress in the tank and could be the result of your very low alk.

why are you feeding so much? I feed once a day, or once every other day...
he's probably constipated out of his mind too, but itch is most likely

I made a post about the alk & didn’t really get a solution out of it, didn’t even know it could damage the fish… :/

Marine fish should ideally be feed twice a day - they metabolize very fast and a lot of them are constant grazers naturally.

How long have you had the fish? Has it been exposed to any fish that weren’t quarantined?
