I don’t know what happened, fish eyes are now cloudy and underneath whiting with a pale coat. I did some research and I believe it’s brook disease but I’m not 100% sure and even if it is, it’s 12:38 am and nothing is open what can I do? And is this the disease I’m looking at? Please help, thank you in advance.

Again I want to stress what can I do currently before stores open?

We would need pictures under white light to assess. Is he breathing hard too?

For temporary relief and to buy time you can give the fish a 5 minute freshwater dip in a clean container the same temperature as display tank.
A couple pics under white lighting will be helpful in confirming it’s indeed brooklynella
Treatment Will be a formalin based medication such as quick cure which is getting harder to find or ruby rally pro in quarantine with added oxygen during treatment

If its brook, a fresh water dip may help. Get your hands on paraguard or rally pro as soon as possible. They will need to be in a QT, so also get some hob filter (NO CARBON), a bio sponge, a heater, and a bottle of marine cycling bacteria rated for a tank way larger than the QT.

Would a 5 gallon bucket of RODI water be good for 5 minutes or is that too much? I currently don’t have a qt tank as I only have 3 fish and 2 I’ve had for the last 4 months. (Being the clowns)

if it turns out to not be brooks and something else would the dip hurt it in any way? or would it still be beneficial?

It should be fine. I don't think there would be an issue. I couldn't really see anything from the pic. If it is just a cloudy eye, then maybe try prazipro. If there is a cloudy film on the cloud, go with rally pro or paraguard. I don't see ich or velvet on them from the pics so copper shouldn't be needed.

In the future, I would follow Jay Hemda'ls QT guide on here.

Thank you, I’m just worried I guess because I just added my biotia yellow tang (who is transparent because it’s so young) so I worried that would cause something I posted two videos of the clown the one where he isn’t spamming erratically is more recent, and it’s hard to see but his stomach is white (which could be good but I’ve never seen this?) and the bottom from his face to fin are pale almost white? https://youtube.com/shorts/r3xRx3dVpgQ?feature=share

1 month ago, but I had them in a smaller tank for around 3 going into 4 months

Can you post your full water quality parameters?

Jay

so I also have a freshwater Berta, would I use the tap then the same conditioner to make it without nitrates etc? or just straight tap for 5 minutes?
Straight tap is sufficient- just assure temperature matches that of the tank it is in currently

Today I woke up and he’s looking normal again, is it possible he just gets that pale at night? or that my cleaner shrimp if he had a parasitic thing going on rid of it? because correct me if I’m wrong but brooks wouldn’t be so self limiting and instead only worsen.
