I know, perhaps the last thing you want to hear about with all the ornaments already appearing in stores, advertising for Christmas gifts, etc. In the past (maybe not recent past), ETRC has always hosted a Christmas party. It was the "big" event of the year; some club funds were used to fund a traditional Christmas meal, attendees bought some reef-related gift (typically an ornament) for a white elephant exchange, some alcohol was involved, and generally the turn-out was really good and everyone had a good time. I can remember some memorable ones at Art's house and even Matt's house before SA went large-scale and there were still dozens of clown tanks in the basement.
Perhaps the club should consider something again this year. I've been out for a couple of years but would welcome this. Because of all the holiday commitments, it was usually scheduled for the 1st or 2nd weekend in December (after that, everyone gets caught up in other holiday activities). Give it some thought and feel free to post your feedback here.
