I was surprised at how low it needed, actually. Mine took off after I moved it partially under a shelf. Colored up nice too!
yeah it gets ***** quick!
have it in a lil desktop nano with crappy lights and flow, growing well

Off topic, but what kind of light do any of you JF Jack o Lantern owners keep it under? If anyone has a colony :3 Leptos are my other weakness!
Just off to the side of direct light under 1 150 watt halide, but at the bottom of the tank. 125 gallon

I have mine at the bottom of my 90 gallon, centrally located with medium flow. Not under direct light. Grows good -- not sure on how fast it would be under optimal conditions but it has grown off the plug and onto the rock quite a bit. Got it in a CC Live Sale last fall.

I think I need to perk mine out into more light a tiny bit!
