I have found it's hit or miss with angels in general. I've never had one take out soft corals before. My hit or miss experience has been with LPS though. i've had lots of several types of dwarf angels before, including lemon peels. most of the times when they were feed heavily i didn't have problems, then sometimes after years of being in the tank they started eating corals. my suggestion that if you want to try is get the smallest one you can (preferably captive breed) and feed the tank several times a day. this has been the way i've had the best success. some folks will disagree and small fish can be more aggressive feeders when they are trying to grow.Im focusing mainly on soft corals (mushrooms) and torches in my tank. Would a lemonpeel angel or flame angel bother either of those? What I have read is they are more into SPS and Zoas than the softies, but figured I'd ask the experts here.
I also have:
a pair of duncans
2 favia frags
a lepto frag
and a cyphastrea frag
If any of these had to go, I'd be okay with doing that before I got the angel.
Depends on the fish. Personally I have no trouble with an African fireball but some think it's crazy to even try.Im focusing mainly on soft corals (mushrooms) and torches in my tank.
