I just got my ICP back with my Manganese at undetectable levels and Molybdenum at 0.104 ppb.

I want to dose 0.1 µg/L of Manganese daily and I want to increase my Molybdenum level by 15 µg/L.

My tank is 150 gallons (567.81 L).

For my daily Manganese dose, 567.81 L x 0.1 µg/L = 56.781 µg of Manganese daily.

If use Manganese Gluconate, which is 25mg Manganese per 225mg of Manganese Gluconate, I should use 511.029 µg (0.511 mg) of Manganese Gluconate daily.

For my molybdenum, 567.81 L x 15 µg/L = 8,517.16 µg = 8.517 mg of Molybdenum.

If I use Sodium Molybdate, which is 39.5% Molybdenum, I should use 21.562 mg of Sodium Molybdate.

Does this look right? I typically use Brightwell Replenish trace minerals daily and apparently they're formula doesn't include molybdenum. I know Replenish already has Manganese, but my Goniopora hasn't been looking too good, so I want to try increasing it further.

FWIW, there are many diy threads on these materials in this forum where dosing math and suitability of chemical forms is already worked out.

Thanks, just found the non-organic additive calculator. First time in the chemistry section of the forum.

Hello, i need help with this calculator. unfortunately I couldn't find it. I have a large aquarium and manganese consumption increases very quickly. finished products wear out quickly. I am currently using fauna marin manganese.

Hello, i need help with this calculator. unfortunately I couldn't find it. I have a large aquarium and manganese consumption increases very quickly. finished products wear out quickly. I am currently using fauna marin manganese.
You can use this calculator: https://rotalabutterfly.com/nutrient-calculator.php

But if you want to do it by hand or double check follow this -
Example:
"My tank is 150 gallons (567.81 L).
For my daily Manganese dose, 567.81 L x 0.1 µg/L = 56.781 µg of Manganese daily.
If use Manganese Gluconate, which is 25mg Manganese per 225mg of Manganese Gluconate, I should use 511.029 µg (0.511 mg) of Manganese Gluconate daily."

So you can just use the formula
System_Volume_L x Desired_Concentration = Dosage_Mn
Example: 567.81 L x 0.1 µg/L = 56.781 µg of Manganese

Then if you are also using Manganese Gluconate, then you do
Dosage_Mn x 9 = Dosage_Mn_Gluconate
Example: 56.781 µg x 9 = 511.029 µg = 0.511 mg of Manganese Gluconate

You multiple by 9 because 25mg Manganese per 225mg of Manganese Gluconate and 225mg/25mg = 9.
