Ok after two days of messing with it I think I am thru. My Wife says I have OCD and I always want everything to look perfect, ha.

Anyway, I hope this one came out ok. I tried to create some caves, some flat spots to place coral and a swim thru for the bigger fish.

Looks good but if that center stack of rocks are glued together it would worry me. If the top rock falls and breaks the glass it would be terrible.

I like the island idea though it will allow you to get a couple of corals that if not on an island would over take the whole rocks.

Thanks, my wife informed me she doesn't like it, ha. So it will probably get changed again. There are long fiberglass rods running thru the rockwork. You can't see them as I drilled holes thru the rock.

I think it depends on the type of coral your gonna get if your gonna get a lot of acros and the such then I would suggest a minimalistic scape

Not to be rude but that's not any better then whatever one else posted... from what you said I expected you to have some type of master piece but it's not.
I never claimed it was. You asked for opinions, I think the rule of thirds is a very helpful guide. It may help you.

For me I made various individual pieces and then pieced them together

Here’s a stand-alone island, to which I can add left and rights, to create a floating ledge

I like it!! I love the openness of it..when the corals grow it’ll fill in nicely..don’t forget, it’s not permanent and you can move **** around if need be! [emoji106]

I personally love the floating ledge as it gives a great coral base with room to siphon detritus from the back. However...
