Can anyone identify these white barnacle looking things and the white strings too?

All over my rocks is a white sand, or barnacle looking crusty thing. Also some white stringy hair like things are popping up on my coral frags. what are these things?

Spirorbid worms are good IMO. Just let them be and most will go away on its own.

I had spirorbid worms appear in my tank once, now they're gone. They still appear in my sump, so I guess conditions are still okay for them. Something's eating them; crabs, probably.

Yeah, Spirorbid worms are harmless filter-feeders; the white strings are feather duster worms as well, so also harmless filter-feeders.

ohhh they arent the same? i got multiple worms? great. could they cause an acro to STN? one of my acros has these growing on plug, and he just happened to stn out of nowhere.

Not likely the cause of the STN. They are just filter feeders.

These kinds of worms are harmless (or even arguably good) - some people purposefully buy and keep feather dusters (typically the larger, pretty species).

They would not be causing problems for a coral - so, these would not cause STN.
