I’m looking to get some fish that will school. What do yall recommend? I saw blue green cromis, cardinal fish, and firefish.
I think your best bet would be cromis or long spine cardinal fish.

I’ve never had either but remember I’ve read you want odd numbers, so 3 or 5.

Chromis don't usually school when they get bigger and they can get mean. My Cardinalfish only school at night, the rest of the day they spend on opposite sides of the tank.

@Kasrift was asking for recommendations previously and I don't think there was much except potentially Firefish.

I think most people say 6 or more because in smaller groups they tend to pick the weak one and beat it up. Larger groups spreads the aggression around. The best way is to find a fish that does great in harems and get a single male (or female in clownfish cases) and get multiple females.

So the place I have been ordering fish from has decided since I will not take off work and drive 30 minutes to a UPS pick up store that they will not sale me anymore fish. The email they sent kind or ticked me off because the way they worded it made it sound like they think I am doing something wrong and that's why so many died. We have a distribution place for UPS not even 10 minutes from my work where I could run and puck then up but they said since it's only open until 12 the didn't want to have the order there for pickup. They are supposed to refund me the money for the order I placed that was mostly credit from them for the deaths of fish I got from them. I have never in all my gosh keeping years had issues getting orders of fish and then being healthy on arrival. I even had several orders of discus shipped to me and they are super delicate and never lost a one.
