Doing good here just downsized from 180 to an 80 to save room and I think it was a great move

Well it's been a while, how is everyone? Haven't been online in quite a while due to family health issues. I'm probably going to be on a bit more now that things have slowed down.
Doing ok here…impatiently awaiting the arrival of spring LOL.

I'm planning out some upgrades to my tank. I want to switch to an automatic water changer, my mixing station is in the basement, so I'd have to go with a solution that would allow for thru-floor pumping. That likely means a peristaltic pump, or some type of controller that could map it out. I'm also switching from Carbon Dosing to a HOB Algae scrubber. My tank is relatively small (50 gallon AIO), so the amounts being dose to keep the nitrates and phosphates at the desired level was so low the dosing pump had no end of issues because it just wasn't dosing enough fluid. I thought about dilution, but decided to go back to the solution I'm most familiar with. I turned off the dosing a while ago and the scrubber is on the tank and running. I'm hoping to see relatively quick pickup and my lights will run off a wifi timer that I should be able to tune to keep my nutrients stable. For the longest time my tank had difficulty even keeping any Nitrates or Phosphates so I don't think my schedule will need to be too aggressive.

Do any of the local places around Mad/Milwaukee do Par Meter rentals?
Big Kahuna in Madison does. No charge, the last time I asked; you just have to give them a credit card for a deposit in case anything happens to it.
