Emily recently got into a little controversy after comments about reading scripts for "strong, independent woman" and rolling her eyes at them. It has become a little formulaic these days (Rey, Captain Marvel, etc) but she absolutely nails it in Edge Of Tomorrow! For one, she actually has weaknesses, which makes her more interesting.
