I've never personally used that fixture. However t5ho is arguably the best light. Do some research into what bulbs you want to use as wellHow about this

Anything better then that current set up t5 are a get way to go what size is your tank the price of that light you can get the ai prime and has great controllability
how about this one
Just a kind reminder to read the thread. He has a tank in a place that can not support high brackets. There are alot of details in the thread of how the topic of light options have gotten to where they are now. Also the here is a par breakdown of the ai prime 8 inches off the water. EDIT: 8 inchesAi primes can cover a 2'x2' area when put up on the 12'' stand,(I believe). I ran ! AI prime on my 45 and it covered almost perfectly. Sure more lights is better but 1 for now should be fine.
Gotcha, thank you for helping me understand this situation
Yes,yes and yes. Much much better light, does use a lot more electricty though(which wouldn't bother me). If I had to do it all over again, that is what I'd buy over the Current USA anyday of the week.
how about this one
I that case I would get the t5I believe he posted in the thread he has a 20 long. So he would need 2 ai primes to get the coverage he would need/want.
Looks a lot betterHow does the light output compare to your old one? Can you tell a dif?
Yeah I was running out of time to return the current lights so basically swapped and paid $20 more for these. Now I sit back and maintain and slowly add more softies and suchThe current USA light is able to support nems if they are up the tank. I had mine mounted about 3" off the water and the nems were 6ish" down and they thrived. had 3 of them ranging 4"-6" in size. But i like the new lights. Definitely doesn't hurt for when you want those Sticks. Tank is looking sexy with the new lights
Good move, I got mine with the tank so i just rode them out.Yeah I was running out of time to return the current lights so basically swapped and paid $20 more for these. Now I sit back and maintain and slowly add more softies and such
