I love nems. Killed many early on. Now with a mature tank, these are thriving

How did you get that to stay in that cup? I have one of those and they never stayed for more than a day or 2.
to be honest, i have no idea. my guess is that spot has good flow and light for it which keeps it in place. i have yet to have to intervene to keep it in the cup, but perhaps if it ever splits i may have to take it out

That’s really awesome. I’ve have beautiful BTAs (like 10+) that I needed to capture and give to LFS. I’d like to display one in a cup like that.

Wow. Where do you have them in the tank? I understand all tanks are (very) different, but I have a great spot on the back that I might try with one nem currently captured in a box.
Do have clowns hosting them? I have two clowns for two years and never had any interest in any of the many nems I’ve had in the tank. I’m wondering if the nems might be happier if I could get hosting clowns???

The rose/Sherman hosts a frostbite/black and white pair. They are 3/4 of the way up the walls just because that's where I had room. They probably sit in a bit higher par than I'd like, but they are happy and healthy. I've had other nems walk from cups before, but if you find a spot with favorable flow and lighting, there is a good chance they stay put. The nem in the middle pic is new, I just picked that spot for convenience and because I'm kind of out of room. It was a cool morph though so I wanted it. It has tried walking a couple times and I keep stuffing it back in its cup. Its stayed put for a few days now so I think I won that battle.

It’s not bugging the shrooms?? Genuinely asking. This site can be so frustrating there’s so many people that just regurgitate info they’ve heard or red. Every forum says no bta in a new tank and yet all my bta have been within the first 6weeks and literally have never had an issue. Mine is getting close to a shroom and I was getting nervous till I saw this pic

There are always exceptions and most knowledge is learned from elsewhere and not experienced first hand.
