Why upgrade if the ones you are happy with are great? Only time I would upgrade is if power consumption is much less.
Because radion before the G3 was worthless, and G4 made the G3 basically trash. The G5 should basically alter reality as we know it.

lol
I went with three 1 1/2” drains and four 3/4” returns.
Well if I had any doubts about going with Radion-T5 combo it's completely gone out the window now haha Dang that's a setup and a half!!

I agree. I still use AI Sol Blues on my display tank because they have worked so well for me. However, some of the leds are burning out. I have two spare units for parts. They just need to get me another 9 months until I get a new tank. I wont have enough AI Sol Blues so I will be going with Orphek Atlantiks.

I have loved the radions since first adding them. I am not sure how they compare to other as it’s the only ones I’ve used.

Current FTS of the new tank.

I went with a simple hanging method. I used L shaped aluminum and mounted it on the top of the canopy and just set the lights in the track. I’m sure you could add an extra wood lip on the inside of the canopy to adjust the lights to whatever height you want.

I have urchins but they don’t eat any of them.

Using same config.

Radion + t5 (only one per side)

Are you also using led bars at the sides?

Congrats for your corals and awesome pics.

Good luck

Well that happened quickly! My new tank has been up longer and you're making me look like a slouch Bubba.

Your new setup is looking awesome, Bubba! Well done. Once day I would love to have G4 on my 240 gallon. So dang expensive so I will wait until I can sell hundreds of frags to pay for them. :)

Oh, that may not kill vermatids as they can seal their little tubes shut. Some will get in and harm them and probably kill them.. But I would try to crack their shells to ensure they die in the dip.

OTHERWISE.... I use a DIY KZ Coral Snow to kill vermatids. It works by starving them out. You dose the Coral Snow, and they throw out their webs because of lots of stuff in the water (Chalk, or Calcium Carbonate) -- It's completely inert to the reef tank, and actually scrubs your water... BUT, it also gets stuck on vermatid webs, and they try to eat and starve out. You have to dose daily for a long time, but it works. They take 3-4 weeks to starve out.
Do you dose kz coral snow daily?
