Do you carbon dose or use gfo to keep po4 0.03-0.05?My ideal parameters would be alk 9-10 dkh, no3 1-5 ppm and po4 .03 - .05
I tested my new tank parameters this morning and they were alk 10.4, no3 7~ ppm and po4 .18
My color is way better how many colors can u see?basically the same but with more encrusting. No branches yet.
Today I even see a little encrusting on one. I am glad things are going well so far.
Chaeto mainly keeps it where it should be but when it gets above .1 I use gfo to lower it back where it should be.
I do not but I do water changes occasionally so they might be helping the chaeto.Do you dose anything with trace elements for chaeto to keep it happy and growing?
Thanks
I wish I was the master grower. I use plain instant ocean. A lot of the big names used it so I figured it must work just fine.Hey @bubbaque
What salt brand are you currently using?
Looking into salts for my new build and who better to ask then the master grower.
I think around 10.5 - 11 dkhI’ve been using Red Sea blue but wanting to bump my alk up to help with low ph issues. Trying to shoot for 9.5 or so alkalinity. What does IO mix to?
Not sure why the video turned out so dark and it seemed none of my camera settings would help but figured I would share.
Video is with two t5 bulbs and SB reef bars.
I do always have that fear the chaeto might stop growing one day.
Acropora out competing chaeto for N and P?Why do you have this fear?
