I love this thread Bubba! Maybe someday my stuff will be good enough to post pics of, till then I'm pretty happy visiting your thread to see awesome Acros. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much!

Bubba do you keep your fuge clean or is it a complete mess?
Umm I would call it a complete mess, lol. I use to have HA growing all over the walls but once it matured that went away. Now it’s just mainly chaeto and detritus. I have so many pods crawling around in it though I think they eat everything before it rots.

I think that’s similar to mine. Once you put a frag in the glue does the glue just collapse? Have you tried a different glue to see how it compares?

I buy IC-Gel from ebay and use them since my day 1. But I know the dollar store stuff is much cheaper. Which one do you buy?

Held stable enough to reglue these frags. Granted these aren't 1" tall tettering towers but lower and fatter.

One bottle usually lasts me almost a year of heavy fragging. Best guesstimate is roughly 1000 frags/year... For $30 in glue.

Thank you!

Routine is pretty simple. I feed the fish pretty heavy my frozen food once a day (shrimp, talapia and scallops) along with pellets twice later in the day. I don't directly feed the corals but they grab whatever is floating from the frozen food.

I run a calcium reactor and dose kalk.
Change out 10% of the water every couple weeks
Use a co2 scrubber to keep ph up
Grow chaeto to keep nutrients down

I think that's about it.

.

I just feed mysys and krill to the fish daily and some pellets to the fish twice. Same as you.

The shrimp, talapia and scallops are from the supermarket ?? How do you feed the fish with them ??
I do recommend you feeding the corals somethings at nights. They do really appreciate eating as we all do. Brightwell as well as other brands has quality food designed for it.
But maybe you are right and it's enought with what they are able to get.

At least your color says so.

I have the same other routines.

No trace elements dosing?

Actually using radion g4pro. Do you recommend blue or white spectrum ?

Thank you very much

I could get it to work I just didn't like it after using the other glues. For sure the big bottle is the cheapest route. I think the dollar store glue for the same amount cost $41 but the extra $11 it is worth it to me. You have enough glue though you won't have to worry about buying anymore anything soon, lol.

Yep I just buy the seafood from my local grocery store. I take it home and put it in a blender to its a small size. Put it in a ziplock and freeze it and the next day I cut it into pieces.

Maybe if I had pale colors I would feed at night but I have great growth, good polyp extension and good colors so I am not sure the food at night would improve any of that.

No I don't dose any trace elements besides what my calcium reactor and water changes add. I use to use Fuel, which has trace elements but I ran out.

I have the radions on two of my tanks and I use a modified version of the AB+ program. The AB+ program has the red, green and whites at 24%, I lowered those down to 18%

I'm sure the dollar store glue sets up better. I just haven't used anything else in such a long time and it works good enough for me that I'm set in my ways I guess. [emoji6]

Thank you so much for all your information.
I'll think about starting to feed extra sea food.

Do you like undetectable levels of nutrients?
I don't. Like N at 2/4 and po4 at 0,05.

Actually I'm running very high white radion g4. Greens also at 50% blues and violets 100%

Thank you very much for your time and sorry to mess up your post!!

It's no problem at all.

If you decide to feed more just go slow. You don't want your nutrient levels to spike.

I don't pay attention too much to nutrient levels as long as they aren't too high. My ideal numbers would be po4 < .1 and no3 < 10.

I think by looking at your coral color and health is more important than the numbers.

Totally agree.

Biological observation a. A. K. A knowing your reef and its behavior is much more important and representative.

Thank you very much for your messages.
I'll wait for the updates and hope maybe some full tank shots.

:)

Bubba I love the bulk reef supply glue

I got it in a dragging kit and it’s the only glue I don’t end up killing the frag with

I truly believe I'll meet, and have a beer with, the Sasquatch before I see a FTS. :p
What beer did you have with him?

There is a semi-updated FTS posted on the very first post of this thread.
What are you doing and using when you need to glue something directly to a rock while in the tank?
I cut the stem off the plug and put a bunch of super glue on it and just smoosh it to the rock.
