Wow, thanks for taking the time to go through the thread! I know it's pretty long now so not many people are willing to start at the beginning. I appreciate you sticking around as it's always exciting to hear when there are new followers.

I tried to take pics often so people didn't get bored but I'm starting to feel I post too often. I might slow it down to once a week with several pics at once just to see how that goes.
Eeeuuhhhmmm... I am not sure if I have one but... VETO on skipping pictures.
Well actually, if you post them on Instagram, it is allowed to skip here and there on R2R.

Give him some more love with the "likes" folks. Maybe we can get him back!
Give me all the likes! Lol.

Seriously though the “likes” is what I feel motivates people to post. I am glad I have a lot of followers to my thread but there are so many threads where people post pics and they get no or very few “likes”. Eventually you see them stop updating their thread. I can think of this one poster in particular named Mindy (I forget her r2r name) where she stopped posting and I asked for an update. She came back and said she didn’t think anyone followed her thread and asked for people to “like” that post if there were followers. She ended up with a lot of “likes” and was surprised how many people followed.

I am glad there are users on here like @NY_Caveman, @Fudsey @Janci and @Wrangy (I know I am missing some) that will “like” pretty much every post someone makes. As insignificant and useless a “like” is, it might be just be what someone needs to keep posting. I am not talking about my thread in particular but if anyone finds a thread they like give the user a few “likes” to keep them motivated.

It seems people still like the frequent updates. I was getting less response from pics so I was thinking I was over doing it and thought a once a week posting with multiple pics might be better.

Yeah that pic needs updated for sure. You can’t even really see any color in it.

hey man do you happen to have any updated photos of the TGC Acrolandia and the TSA bubbleyum?
I will take a pic tomorrow of the acrolandia. It has good color but it’s such a slow grower for me.

The Bubbleyum looks horrible. When I first got it, it didn’t stick in the glue for some reason and I would watch it wobble back and forth in the glue. I think that prevented it from encrusting. I took it out and replied it but then some how it came out the glue and rolled around under the uncrate in my frag tank for who knows how long before I noticed it missing. The polyps are always out but it has never looked good for me.

Sometimes I wish I could give a post a double like or super like.

Just thought I would add, like you mentioned, giving a like is a form of support. If someone posts bad news I hit the like button. Not because I liked what happened to their tank, but I want to support them. I do feel I give a lot of likes without posting and maybe that can bug people. I follow hundreds of build threads though, and doing what I do allows me to support a wider range of threads.

@bubbaque how is that unnamed piece from WWC? I think the game over? Or all star? Or something
The All star. It looks amazing! It's the coral I always point out to other hobbyist when they come over to make sure they see it, lol. It's still mainly encrusting at this point but the polyp color is still gold as can be.

You got to see it at WWC right? When I bought my frag it was still over in the farm.

I visited WWC yesterday and they had several pieces. Price was steep at $900 a frag, but it was a gorgeous acro.

Yeah the price they charge is pretty dang steep. Hopefully as mine grows out I can spread some frags around to people at a much cheaper price.

Dang, 15 frags and I would have a new motorcycle.
And a new tank actually.
Unbelievable what is happening to the reef prices.
