Hello guys,

This is my new project (60 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm high). I’m going to use only a wavemaker without sump, mechanical filtration etc.

I’m looking for soft corals, like mush’s and ricordeas, gorgonias (photosynthetic), coco worms and feather dusters.

Could I have some tips regarding this type of project? When I posted on Facebook, almost everyone was criticizing me

I dig it! Like the scape, like the negative space. Might want to think about a HOB type filter to put on there a couple hours a week for getting rid of detritus, polishing the water, etc. Without removing the detritus somehow you may end up with lots of 'floaties'. Really digging on the scape though. It'll be neat with the rockwork breaking the surface a bit.

Facebook is so annoying. I think these types of tanks are really cool; I would add a HOB filter though.

I second either an HOB or small canister for water polishing. Do a 10% water change every week and stay on top of evaporation make up and it should be a nice, low maintenance setup.

I would personally add another light .
One doesn’t seam like enough giving the available space . But to also give a more symmetrical spread

Really like it. Surface scum may be an issue though so small HOB maybe like others mentioned.

Light should be plenty for the low light stuff you wish to grow.

Yeah, that's a good idea. I think you can get a cannister filter that has a glass tube connector thing so that it looks transparent in the tank. Look up MikeyMikeMike on Youtube, he has one of those on his tank.

Yeah they are called lily pipes.

With no filtration, I would try to have some plankton.

Definitely have some way to skim your surface film. The top of that water is going to look nasty in 3 days if you don't have a way of skimming the surface scum.

Hello, pretty fine, I use something around 25%~30%, always random mode.

I love it! Maybe add some pretty macro algae to help with phosphate/nitrate export. With no mechanical filtration you’ll need a good cuc. Nassarius snails and hermit crabs are good scavengers.

More and more corals are coming. Lots of scolymias were introduced (came from the dismantling of another aquarium of mine), red sponge, coco worms, more ricordeas.
