An old school name for aiptasia that isn't used much anymore is - "Glass Anemone." :)

Ahhh now you're retired you can start sharing all that wisdomus you have acquired over the years:) Friday has a new meaning for you now, Fin's Fact Friday!

Is it there yet?

If you're referring to the tank, I do believe it will be shipping out end of next week:)

I'd still smash it, had to tear down my Nuvo 10 to get rid of them and use an extensive dipping regime to save my two remaining corals.
I honestly have no idea what I would do if I saw an aptasia in my tank.

my ideas include:

-FIRE!
-Throw the tank away.
-Explosives.
-Telling the US government there’s oil under the sandbed.

This F-Aiptasia stuff is still stuck onto whatever is left of those nems. No sign of the stuff dissolving or dissipating. Toxic goo. Amazing - now if it will only rid the tank of them. There were about a million of them in there. Ok, maybe not a million - but a lot of them. :)

Don’t they release spores when irritated? Also - does the F-aiptasia ever go away, or will you always have spots of toxic goo in your tank?
That asteroid might do the trick, key word being "might".

I've heard good things about that F-Aptasia though, I'd call it the just shy of nuclear option.
What’s the nuclear option? You’re talking to the guy who immediately dosed Fluconazole to get rid of a small amount of bryopsis...

This stuff is supposed to limit the release of spores. We will see. Pretty sure Aiptasia X does not. I will never use that stuff again. I used it to kill some and within a few weeks I had a bigger problem than when I started. This is the first time I have used the stuff and don't know if it will eventually dissolve, or not. We will see.
