Frozen mysis is fine for that I’m assuming?
I dont have any fancy foods like you guys ;)

I was reading about the kanaplex just now, it said it was useful when fish aren’t eating, and dissolves into the water column and is absorbed by the fish rather than ingested. If I bind it with the focus to the food, won’t that mess up what I’m trying to do, since she didn’t eat this morning?
I've never used it in the water column in a reef... I'm not sure how that would work. I dont want to suggest something and crash your bio filter...

That is my major concern as well. The wound seems to be healing somewhat, it doesn’t look as angry as it did last night/this morning. Seems like if she starts eating again, she will get better. Otherwise maybe not...but I’m trying to think of the greater good here. The idea of dumping chemicals in my tank scares the heck out of me. I only used the red slime stuff after extensive research and personal recommendations, and even then dosed less than the box called for and was REALLY nervous. Saltwater is good for wounds, right? (Lol)

but if she makes it, I think I need to find her a new home. She has always seemed very wary of her tank mates. Now I see why :/

I am brand new to saltwater. My son got an 8 gallon bio cube. I know this is too small, but I promised I'd try. I have 1 piece of dead coral for decor and that's it. We hope to have 2 tiny fish and maybe 2 shrimp. We also like hermit crabs. What equipment, substrate would you guys suggest? I'd like to use easy (forgiving) live macro algae to help balance this tank. Please be kind with responses. I have been called names elsewhere and was referred here to learn.

@Magellan can you sump her to heal? She's beautiful. I might drop in an air stone too.
I don’t have a sump, (JBJ aio) or she would already be in it! Contemplating a 5 gallon bucket, but I’m concerned that stressing her even more might be counterproductive. I’ve been watching closely all day and nothing has so much as given her a stink eye. I have no idea what’s going on :/

I'd be willing to bet it's aggression at night. Territorial instead of competition for food. That's what I've noticed with my clown.
First time ever though. My clowns sleep in the back of the tank behind the heater, and my damsel sleeps in the center of the rock structure in tight spaces that my clowns won’t go. I’m usually up very late at night and have never witnessed ANYTHING that concerned me. Fiji girl and Bruce (my 6 line) pretty much disappear every night as soon as the lights go out. Bruce sleeps in the conch shell, and only the clowns will swim around at all even with lights on in the kitchen and stuff.

could my clown be pregnant/about to spawn? I noticed a snail doing that today, it made me wonder. At least, I’m assuming that’s what was happening!
