So my boss hermit crab will, a least once per night, walk around the perimeter of the tank. Backwards. I can’t help but be reminded of the giant machines from War of the Worlds...

looks a hell lot like bacteriophages
wich actually kills bacterias from the inside while exploiting their nucleotides to make more phages.
They say 40% of the oceans bacterias die EVERY day from phages.
some heck of a war going on in the micro world

in all fairness, look at the names of some of the places here in NC lol
Wateree, Congaree, Catawaba, Santee, Salkehatchie, Socastee, Pee Dee, Waccamaw... all Indian tribes in SC. Got rivers named after them.
