Do you have a pic of yours? I didn’t even ask what it was at the LFS, just saw it, assumed it was a Yuma, and immediately knew it was coming home with me. I moved the green one several times, it’s in a low flow, low PAR spot and just absolutely thrives...I figured right next door was the best possible spot for Donald. (Because he’s orange!)

I don’t think I have a good one. If the polyps or whatever the round things are are bulbish and pronounced then it’s yuma.

They seem to be proportional to my green yuma, but it’s so tiny (like half the diameter of the frag plug) that it’s hard to tell. But the polyps are really close together, on rhodactis they appear further apart and more uniformly radiating out from the center.

Oh we definitely both have a Yuma. I want to get another color or 2 and have a mushroom garden, it’s one of my favorite corals. I especially love the way they handle sand! Some kind of mushroom wizard osmosis happens and the sand will just phase right through their tissue.

Mushrooms are sweet. I got to add a beautiful blue disco today to the display.

I think I’m ready to invest in a jawbreaker and/or eclectus

Have to keep to my monthly budget, getting both of those is rather pricy.

You’ll get the first frag in two years.
Cha-Ching!! I have purposefully avoided any sort of budget or keeping track of my spending. I would rather not know...I just don’t spend enough at any one time to upset the SO ;)

she did find the receipt from this most recent trip to the LFS...2 Salifert tests, reef fusion 1&2, the orange shroom, saltwater, and new purigen/phosguard got a death stare and a raised eyebrow.... I said baby it’s ok I’m supporting small business!

Im assuming Ricordea Yuma, that’s what the green one beside it is and they have similar characteristics. At least to someone blind like me ;)

already starting to split, and has 2 mouths, which is interesting. The green one was much larger before it split. But also suffered through some much less favorable tank conditions.

Yuma’s are slow growers, Rhodactis are fast, so I guess I’ll find out soon!
It's a Ric.
