I refuse to let my nem die.
I need multiple WC and will go from there but I'd at least like something on hand in case I need to do something about it.
My waiting out all the other algae has gotten me where I am now.
I'm not going to go nuts dumping things left n right but those two red slime products seem to work great with little to no side effects, so I'll pick one and keep it here for quick use if needed.
Even if to just get it under control so then maybe I could wait it out at that point.
BUT currently I need to do something sooner rather than later, starting with just WCs and observation.

Chemicals will not resolve the cause. I usually just blow off the Cyano until it stops coming back. I recently had red hermits eating it away as well surprisingly.

it's like somebody drinking RO water , he will demineralize his body.
Don't say it too loud, I like to have cheap RO water.
:D Had this discussion before...show me the science. That is like saying pure water is bad for you so drink the polluted water to get your minerals. The majority of mineral uptake us from your food period. All the minerals from suppliments just gives you expensive urine as very little if any is absorbed. NIH publications support this fact.

I agree. Nothing wrong with the North at all. There are buns-holes everywhere in this world. No reason to pick sides.

Agreed. Pure water wont strip minerals either. If you're sweating a lot you'll need to replenish electrolytes somehow, which is usually done thru sports drinks. Most nutrients are absorbed thru food. The minerals added to bottled water are so it doesn't taste stale from sitting on the shelf.

I use exclusively RODI for my coffee, makes a mean fresh press.

My Ninja coffee maker calls for distilled or reverse osmosis water. The minerals in tap water will scale up the machine. So I just use the RODI and keep a gallon jug of distilled water full of RODI water. I use the same water in the french press.

I love this! Call me crazy, but the ***** put fluoride in the water in their concentration camps...and they weren’t concerned about teeth! I don’t drink tap water ever. Or any bottled water that says “minerals added for taste”
