Clearly you are not going to side with common sense here. An 8 foot specialize piece of hardware is hardly th same as common weapon seen around the work. Just about anyone can identify a sword, be it katana, broad, or otherwise.

I understand what you are saying, but just because laws haven't caught up with hobby doesn't mean anyone should keep them.

There are sooo many variables that make a bro an incredibly dangerous animal that shouldn't be a pet.

Again. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Let me ask you something. Something happens that keeps you from being able to care for it. You mom even after being warned 100x about the dangers, and let's go as far to say she was trained to care it, reaches in and gets tagged.

How would you feel about it then. Knowing the risk is certain death.

I guess I'm having a hard time understanding why this isn't sinking in for you.

Needless risk for a pet that at best would live for a few weeks and die.

Is it possible to keep one safely? Sure. Given the right set of safe guards are place.

Should anyone without proof of expert knowledge be able to buy or keep one? heck no

At my print shop we have the 8 foot blades your talking about on our Polar Cutters. Even our trained cutter operators have made mistakes and cut themselves while removing the blade while the blade was lower than the clamp. Accidents happen. Although I would much rather lose a finger or even my whole arm(today's cutter safteys wouldnt let it happen) than get killed by a pet which has no Anti-venom.

so where does the water leave and enter the tank?

and you better upgrade those mag floats to magnavores...

there is a reason that stores put boulders onto of the critter keepers lids, they are crazy strong.

but, seeing as how someone people just wont listen to logic, im done with this thread.

Have any of you been to a venomous reptile show? Deli cups full of baby mambas and cobras all stacked on a folding table for sale...usually not to minors...

Here's some ads for you to peruse if a little aquatic mollusc which is very reluctant to bite gets you worked up ;)

LOL this is an epic thread. Anyway Kraylen didnt say the actual potential of a samurai sword falling killin etc.. he said its the principle. People know what they are buying. edited and if you do you shouldnt be allowed buying stuff online anyway* Anyway People like to keep exotic pets and if they dont do research before buying they're dumb. Comes back to our very old Survival of the Fittest. apparently buying a B.R.O is a bad thing now people do dumb crap all the time. This is just another thread over people being dumb plainly.

I fully intend on keeping a Blue Ring. I don't think there would be any reason that I should be barred from it. If I want to allow a deadly animal into my house, that's my choice. They sure are cool looking little devils.
My .02 after a few drinks.

I think a banded sea snake would go splendidly with it.

i remember pulling in some fish from an indo wholesaler. The guy had 15 BROs on the list for $1.00 a piece. Beautiful, but i wouldn't do it for the sake of my wife and 3 year old daughter.

I'm more worried about stray bullets from dbs killing me than some aquatic creature.

Ive never had a DBS occur in my house......or anyone who has a history of DBS in my house. But to each his own.

+1 , my fam is the reason I don't keep venomous animals, I can handle putting my life at risk (in the proper circumstances) but the well being of those around me keeps me away from such activities. Maybe in 8-10 years when my daughter moves out, if I am not in prison from killing one of her boyfriends, lol.

I'm not a snake person, but thanks for the recommendation.

As a general rule, I do not fear things. However, when called for, I do hold things with a tremendous amount of respect.

I dont really feel as bad for the person that buys it, as I do for the blue ring itself. Octopuses are sweet animals, and the blue rings are beautiful. The reality of this is that it is incredibly possible for a person with no experience to buy, and most likely kill this animal.
