Blonde Naso Tang Spinning

I am out of town of course.... UGH

My Blonde Naso Tang. is have acting very strange, and I think it was the salt in the water it went up to 1.027 from 1.025.

I had the fish sitter remove some water and lower the salt to 1.025.

Everything else is normal in the tank:

Alk 10.29
CA 404
MG 1350
PO4: .11 (high but been lowering it slowly)

Anything I can do or have done?? Or is it just going to die??

Without a clear video will be hard to assess. Fish may be moribund. The phosphate likely did noy play a role as well as salinity climb. Can be an impact injury if fish got startled as well as other possibilities

Not sure of the cause but that fish looks like it's dying I doubt a increase of 0.002 would cause issues.

Sorry, it does look like your tang is moribund, actively dying.

How long have you had this fish? We are seeing a LOT of issues with newly acquired blonde naso tangs.....

Swim Bladder Disease? Other than that no clue.

When you get back in town, uhh do you think you can hold him into a normal position in the water and manually feed him with a syringe to keep him alive, maybe he’ll recover?

The Tang passed last night. I had him for about 1.5 years. Got it when it was about 2 inches.

This is the first real fish that I have lost. This was completely unexpected. The picture below was taken on 9/2/2024

Sorry to hear.

That fish had been in captivity long enough so that the shipping mortality we are seeing would NOT have been in play in this case. I just wanted to rule that out.
