Best protein skimmers for 2022-2023

I love it... skims consistently. The ability to change the motor speed is invaluable. I use pinky filter pads in my sump. Whenever I change one out the skimmer want to go into "excess foam" mode for about an hour. The DC just lets me dial it back a bit so I keep skimming, Without the DC conversion I'd have to shut the skimmer off for a while. For me having a quality skimmer like this with a variable pump was worth every penny!

I know this tread is a few years old but I felt the need to give credit where it's due. Seachem's Division 1 skimmers are awesome, relatively inexpensive, expandable, and you never have to worry about your water level. I've had mine for a few years now and haven't had a hiccup, built with a Sicce pump this beast started skimming the second I put it on line. The only knock I have is they're a bit large. But if you have the room I highly suggest you buy one.
