Best beginner clam?

Hello all!
I am planning to set up a 75-110g reef tank and would like to include at least one clam. Does anyone have any suggestions for a hardy clam that would thrive in a reef setup? Growth rate isn’t important to me but I do appreciate the color in clams such as Derasa and Squamosa. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Derasa has been the most hardy imo, awesome clam

Hi Patrick,

Derasa and Squamosa both are good for begginers. That said, IMO clams aren't good for begginers in general. If I were you I wouldn't even think about putting a clam in until at least the 6 month mark.

Thank you! I’ve been thinking the same thing in terms of waiting at least six months but just wanted to plan ahead.
