@90's reefer Metal halides might be an unfair advantage!!! :D
Sorry thats all I have, lol.
Its going on the branching arm about half way up in the tank.
I removed the green slimeball so it would have an open spot with plenty of light.
It grew fairly well at that placement.

Calc. I dose balanced solutions, so I don't test calc as often. Usually around 420 if my alk is in the mid 7 range.
Mag: don't test
Potassium: 380ppm (K depletion is higher in Zeo tanks, so weekly testing is important)
pH: 8.8
NO3 undetectable
PO4 undetectable

Been struggling with hair algae and brown fuzz and trying to find a balance. Low nutrients= Dinos. So I start feeding heavy and got hair algae . I think I’m starting to find a balance as both are starting to subside. So don’t mind the picture of my tank in it’s ugly stage.

Well I've spent a few months gradually re-aquascaping. What a pain. Everything has been noisy for months since I began. Dead rock is the worst, but I am getting through the last of the uglies and all my frags and mini-colonies are growing. Trying to wait out the last ugly stage of symbiodinium/chrysophytes. Very tedious having to baste this gunk off all the time.

Recent ICP was fine and running the usual SPS numbers for elements and nutrients. ESV 2-part dosing via APEX.

Red Sea 525, so close to a standard 120G. Flow is 2Xgyres and 2X MP40s blowing sand all over. I'd say the only thing abnormal would be lighting. I just couldn't stop my self from buying the new ATI Stratons. These things are so darn sexy. Will they prove to be my (not so) secret weapon? Well, we will just have to see about that. I just know that my lights are better looking than yours. :p

Too late to join the waiting list? I somehow missed the update with the link to this thread.
Hi @LBReefer, I will add you to the end of the waiting list in case a spot opens up, but that is looking unlikely. Sorry that you missed out on this. There will be another contest eventually, so look for that in the future.

If you haven't already, check out the review done by @Reef-Engineer on the Stratons. Extremely informative and data rich. The whole thread is helpful actually.

@xxoczukxx, don't feel bad, I have a RedSea Reefer 170, not much bigger than your tank. Here are my specs:

Light - Aquatic Life Hybid with an AI Hydra 26HD running AB+ and 2 ATI Coral+ and Blue+ bulbs.
Octopuss 110ss skimmer
2 maxspect 230 gyres
Kamoer Doser for Alk and Calc
Alk 8.0
Calc 400
NO3 detectable, around 0.3
PO4 0.03
4 fish
Mixed reef with an average PAR of 220
I feed Reef Energy+ every day.
I feed the fish once a day with Reef Frenzy or mysis.

I'm curious to see how all these different lighting systems compare going forward. See if lighting really does make a difference or skill level dominates. I myself am running Mitras lx7's.
