I tried to do a bbq blooming onion yesterday. It was OK at best. The batter didn't stick to the onion very well so it basically turned out to be a grilled onion. I will give it another shot soon.

Anyone with a big green egg? I am remodeling my home, working on my backyard this summer, and really want to replace my 10 yr old weber charcoal grill. I really want a big green egg.

Big green eggs are great! @wishntoboutside has one and is very happy. Don't be affraid to consider their competitors as well. I know there are an awful lot of fans of the Primo Grills. Many find them superior to the BGE because they are oval. This allows for two zone cooking which is impossible in the BGE or any round Ceramic cooker. They are made in America (as opposed to the Mexican made BGE) and have a ton of accessories available.

I am needing to replace my Traeger would like to replace it with another pellet smoker and a Primo but will probably just start with a pellet. My wife likes to use the pellet to much.

Good deals at Costco on the Louisiana Grills. A lot of grill for the money.

I have not looked at them> I am really wanting to get a Yoder but have not pulled the trigger yet. I have had good luck with my Traeger it is about 15 years old.

Yoder was my dream pellet smoker. but the price, great customer service, and ability to grill under direct flame is what made me choose the Louisiana Grill. for an even cheaper option, Pit Boss also has the ability to direct flame ability but a less intuative controller.

My grill is old, the ash tray is rusting to pieces and the whole thing needs to be replaced... but it still cooks up a mean cowboy steak!
