I have a Bashsea 6-24 protein skimmer that has been a work horse for a few months and I noticed the other day it was know longer making skim,I was told by bashsea that the "beckett" maybe installed wrong or the the pump maybe bad. I've check both and they both seem ok.,I've ordered a new pump just because I'm at a loss.Any help would be much appreciated. ...is it possible that because my nitrates are 5ppm and my phosphate is at .02 that there's just nothing to skim?

Has anything else changed in your tank? Did you adjust anything on the skimmer?

Small amount bubbles. I'm new at this, so are you saying that the organics is what makes more bubbles?
