Thought posting in tank emergency would at least get me more than 1 reply lol. Kind of disappointing. Anyways, going to email the manufacturer with the same photos I posted. I am not in the mood to get into an argument with these guys to have to try and explain myself.

It probably would have, if you actually had an emergency involving the ongoing or at least plausibly imminent loss of livestock and/or property. Instead you have a drained tank with no livestock that you have questions about before refilling or replacing. This is an equipment and/or vendor question IMO.

Not knowing if my tank was going to burst all over my carpet was an emergency to me. Like I said ( if you bothered to read the thread) I am new to acrylic; its my 1st acrylic tank. I don't recall there being an objective definition provided by R2r for what qualifies as an emergency..

Thanks for sharing your opinion. Do you always tell people where they should and should not post?

Best possible outcome in this situation. Every company has issues, how they handle it is what determines if they have return business or not. I have read a lot of things about companies that even sponsor this forum that do not treat people correctly, great to see one company that stands behind their products.
Totally! If you are looking for lights, message me and I will tell you who gave me the exact opposite treatment. Just glad I paid them with American Express.

Very poor bond as most acrylic tanks are seamless. Mine show zero bubbles as expected. This is no doubt a manufacturer defect and a full replacement despite their method of quality control who never should have allowed this tank out the door

I did bother to read it. You started off with the tank was already drained... I’m sorry I touched a nerve, no need to fret. I was answering your repeated semi-astonished questions/comments about why people didn’t rush in to help ASAP. I’ve never heard of the threat of an empty tank bursting spontaneously all over a carpet before, perhaps others hadn’t either, so I wasn’t too alarmed when I first read it. That was all I was trying to convey.

You’re welcome to my opinion, when you solicit opinions, you’ll get them. No, I’ve never told anyone where they should or should not post on here before. You asked why the calvary didn’t rush in, so I told you...

Edit: FYI, second post in the thread you said it was already drained... Knew I read it somewhere.

You didn't touch a nerve. It was just sort of a pointless comment.

You didn't touch a nerve. Yes, I drained the tank after people responded stating the seams weren't normal. It was not drained when I initially posted.

I’m very curious to hear the manufacturers response. I have a 180 acrylic with the exact same issue with bubbles in the seams. I’ve had to take for almost 20 years and drained it to buff out the inside and noticed the bubbles. Not sure if they’ve been there all along or not. Very interested in hearing what yiu find out. Thanks for sharing.
