encrusting monti's , bubble gum digi, and maybe a tort like the tri color tort would be a pretty safe first sps imo
I can vouch for the encrusting monti being a good starting point. Mine grows, I just cant get it to have more than a blah peach/brown color. It should be light pink and light blue.

I heard Birdnests are a good beginner sps too is that correct?

TSA what's your most resilient SPS ... looking to dip my toes into getting some.
Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray are pretty hardy you can also try raspberry limeade, pink caddy, ORA Frogskin or any of the latistellas(sunburst, mile high or purple rain) but honestly most things are pretty hardy. We haven't added new corals to our QT in over a year. That means that anything from the LPS and SPS systems are multiple generations deep of in house growth. Any frags that are overgrown we allow to become a little mini colony and start fragging from those. Makes things super hardy.
We've had the Frogskin for about 6 years now so that might be your best bet



EDIT, if you're looking for encrusters as well any cyphastrea or monti are the best options IMO

Im torn between the raspberry limeade, bill Murray, and the Tyree pink lemonade might be my favorite
