This ultra rare gem is just starting to color up too. It is a slow grower for sure.

Thanks for the compliment and yes, I grow out a lot of my SPS mini colonies on large sea shells. I collect my own shells from Longboat Key, Siesta Key, Lido Key and Turtle beaches (Sarasota, Florida) too. They make perfect coral mounts.

The corals look amazing! Are you growing the home wrecker out on a sea shell?

Thanks, Ed! From one collector to another, thank you for appreciating my passion for the sticks. The Sunset Envy is just awesome. I have a few amazing sunset millepora corals growing out now as well.

That AV99's Sunset Envy is really sweet
Interesting to see a stick form of it.

It's a keeper for sure... haven't named the ultra rare gem yet.

So hum I might have to add ur sunset envy to my order that looks amazing. What's the ultra rare gem called?

I use 14k metal halide lights (Ushio) with Lumenarc III reflectors on my grow-out system.

What lighting are you using on this grow out tank?

Yes, indeed and thank you!

Tim I have a love/hate relationship with following your thread. I love to see the pictures, I hate seeing the frags I want to buy and it's such a short drive for me.....:D

I just added a few pieces so once I get it all settled in, I'll be in touch for a few "prize" pieces.

It would be my pleasure sharing a frag of that gem with you, Ed.

Tim will have to get a frag soon.:)

Thank you, George!

Great update Tim!

I always appreciate the offer of help, Jeff. Very kind of you.

Tim
How are you going to manage to make up 700+ gallons of water? Your ro/di is going to get a major workout. I have (3) 55 gallon drums that I can bring down when you start to make up water.
Jeff

Thank you, Corey! It is so easy to become addicted to SPS my friend. They are such mesmerizing animals.

Thank you for the nice compliment and welcome to my build thread, danielsalt!

The multiple colors on some of the sticks blows my mind, late to the party but this i must follow :)

Update:

Felix of @Reef Savvy was working on some amazing new custom overflow weirs for my new overflow boxes, but everything has been placed on hold due to Hurricane Irma. Everyone impacted by the massive storm is in our thoughts and prayers.
