Whats the best salt for automatic water changes? Planning to do on my 150G 1% a day. I currently use nyos. But i add additives to it to make it higher on alk, mag, cal. But if i use that same salt with additives for awc wouldnt that pertcipate?

Why not? Are you dosing alk, mag and calc outside of AWC's?

I also don't see why a specific salt would work better than others. Use whatever you use when you do WCs.
Because i add more alk, and more mag, and more calcium to my nyos mix to match tank, wouldnt that precticipate if i do it with awc? Since its going to sit longer

No, assuming you add them in an appropriate way and are not excessively high. Use only baking soda for alk, not sodium carbonate or sodium hydroxide.

In this context, using an AWC is no different than any other water change with it.
