So moving all my build thread to here from BAR. here's my latest tank build thread place holder with pic and journals. After 10+ years with the club, there's up and down, i wish them the best. and no longer wants to be part of it.

Anyway, about this tank, It's a 5x3x1 1" thick arcylic tank with ext overflow. And as you can see in the photo, uses a 2020 bars as stand, this cage is indestructible.

fast forward and got lazy with documentation because I got sick for the last few days and finally got the tank up and running, fixed leaks left and right. Still have to figure out what to do with my crazy skimmer that just won’t stop wet skimming

I've got 2 more lights to mount.

First 3d printed filter floss holder instead of socks, they need to be replaced 2 days after I put a new one in! Funny thing is that I designed the filter floss holder for a client and didn't expect one day I will be using it myself.

As of last night ( Mar 17, 2024 )

Everything is stabilized and waiting for apex gets fixed and returned from Neptune. Does anyone get notification from them once it’s shipped or repaired?

Added some chromis and rearranged the rocks. Move the rack out the way so I can see the tank better.

Things are coming along nicely and parameters are rock solid stable. Some Zoa’s are acting up and still closed, I will just let it ride out. Here’s an OG glamour shot

Cleaned up the fish area and build a storage shelf for stuff that I have no place to put them. I have to build another shelf inside for trident and cable management cleanup.

IMG_8310.jpeg

Finally adding all 4 lights and some corals are not happy with the extra lights. Only time will get them acclimated.

Can’t believe plastic blade are $20, my fugal approach to the problem.

ALK: 8.43
CA: 544
MG: 1456

finally got trident up running, and my alk was a little too low at 6, but I've bumped it up since then and all should be automated this point forward, DOS will dose if ALK is lower than 8. also changed out my CO2 scrubber media, and helped pushing my pH all the way to 8.4

Man I should have swapped out my co2 scrubber media long time ago this is the result after changing them out few days ago

How I acclimate my new yellow tang with a 10" box into a tank with 5 other tangs, hopefully the aggression will die down within a month

Bought a broken mp60 betting it works and turns out i was right, the seller was using wrong power supply. but man even with a mp60, my 1" acrylic is still giving the pump problems starting up. so i took off the spacer and hopefully it's going to improve from this point.

latest home update

teslar battery finally is moving foward with a scheduled install day.
new network upgrade from UDM to UDM pro + NVR, and all unifi cameras going to replace wyze ones.

pause on all new corals and fish, and let the tank take it's course to settle and grow.
had to change out new CO2 scrubber media, was kinda shocked how fast it was used, i think i had only put the media in 2 month ago and the media has turned mostly purple.

moved some rocks around and added some baskets in front of the tank with carx media so i can grow zoa frags without need to scrap off the new growth from bottom tank and also shroom holding boxes too.

Saw this on oceanbox design and costs $80, so I went ahead and made my own.
