Heads up I just added 4 bulbs of t5 to my reefbreeders V2. I’ll update once I see a color change. I expect to see more orange

I run the same lights with 2 80 watt blue +. Mines shooting all sorts of branches now.. growth should pick up some

I’ll try to post an updated pic tonight showing new growth. Yours looks good! What size is your tank? I went with 2 24w blue+ and 2 24w coral+

Looking good!
I haven't looked in my tank since I took the picture I posted so not sure how mine is doing. I guess the good part about having a rubbermaid as a tank is I don't obsessively look into the tank for things to change or fix :) But when mine starts growing actual branches that don't get knocked off I will post an update too ha...

awesome! Here’s my update too. Definitely am pulling a lot more pink/purple base since adding the t5’s. Polyps have also been shifting to a more orange/gold color. I’ve also started dosing vodka since my last post so the lower nutrients may have something to do with it?

Looks great! Why did you decide to dose the vodka? If things are looking good I wouldnt try to chase a number... would hate to see ya melt some sps just be careful and beyond slow with it!

I’ve been battling some hair and bubble algae. Nothing crazy but wanted to get ahead of it. I’m dosing 1.5 mL/day now in 50 gallons of water with no plan of increasing that dose any further. Might stop though and give vibrant a try. I hear people have good luck with it

I had great success using vinegar to battle with GHA. Followed the initial dosing for my tank, then kept doing the dosing required at week 3, but was dosing only every other day.
