We have had them for over a year. We haven't really had any issues with losing them. We have had a couple lose color, but they have always come back.

The Space invader is two tone, bright neon green with yellow eyes and the Fake Invader has Orangish/Peach eyes with a Yellow to green fade.

whats the best conditions/placement to keep healthy and grow

We have our main grow out pieces in relatively low light under reef brutes getting just a few hours of indirect halides. We also have a colony in the bottom of our main display tank which reaches over 300 par at peak.

They do not seem to be extremely picky when it comes to placement.

We've had the Fake Invader for about 5 years but never harvested it. We would bring the colony to Reefapalooza NY every year to put in EcoTech Marine's display tank. It made an appearance in the last 3 RAP NY EcoTech Displays. But it was getting too big so we finally cut some frags off it.
