My wife and I just completed aquascaping our 50g cube. We have learned cubes are difficult to aquascape!

We ordered 50lbs of Marco rock but was barely able to stuff 30lbs in.

We are hoping to have it cycled and ready for corals by the Expo on the 19th.

I am guessing that would be a good time to join the ETRC?

We are planning an SPS dominate tank with a few lps on the sand and a small zoa garden.

P.S. I have to do something about pictures, my phone is not going to cut it!

That looks really good. I love how much real estate you will have for coral placement

Coral placement was a huge concern with such small footprint(24x24), we had to find a way to go vertical.

Indeed cubes are challenging to aquascape, it took me awhile to get my 90g the way I wanted it. I have to say in the process I felt like throwing my tank out the window..

It's really tough to place rocks in that small an shaped tank and still allow plenty of swimming room. On my 44, 24" sq. tank I ended up doing a rock pile that extended to the back of the tank.

Aha! Went with the Marco Rock.....fine choice. I really like the scape, looks sharp. It will be awesome if it's ready to go by the Expo......you and wifey could stock it up in one (very expensive) day LOL.

And any time is a good time to join the ETRC! I will message you the details.
