Like the title says. Just not sure what this is, came along on the snail that's right above in the picture, it spreading to all my powerheads and some of my rock work. Figured it was a sponge so probably a good guy, but just making sure. It's definitely not coraline, it's a tad fuzzy looking, and that deep red color. Doesn't seem to be hurting anything, but its definitely spreading across the tank

Thanks!

Picture is REALLY blue... Does it brush off easily with a tooth brush, or is it hard like a scale buildup?
Yeah sorry, end of the day so my schedule is more blue. No it's on there pretty good, doesnt brush off easy, like I said it's not hard scaly like coraline, it's definitely fuzzy feeling

If its ATTACHED but fuzzy... it might be a red turf algae. Hopefully that isnt the case. Cyano would brush off very easily, usually just waving your hand above it removes it.

For the future, pl;ease post pics under white light intensity but this appears to be foraminiferans and while it can be scrubbed off, it will release easier after soaking it in a water/vinegar solution for at least 8 hours
