thanks!!Cade 1200 s2 is about 1441 lbs based on the 114 gallon fill rate, it's shipped tank weight (260) and it's shipped stand weight (230).
114 gallons of fresh water weighs 951 lbs based on each gallon weighing 8.34 Lbs.
Of course sump and equipment weight in the same footprint will change your total weight.
I wasn't able to find accurate specs for a Red Sea 350.
i can't do the calculations my GCSE's spelt F U D G E im retardedI don’t know how accurate you need it to be but my rule of thumb is 10lbs. per gallon.
If you’re looking for more accuracy, keep in mind that saltwater weighs slightly more than freshwater (it’s like 8.6 vs 8.3). Also, most tank manufacturers calculate the gallons based on the exterior dimensions of the tank instead of the interior; and treat it as if it was filled to the brim. You can do your own calculations by multiplying the length x width x height (in inches) divided by 231 and it will give you the gallons. Factoring rock and sand can be a wash since they also displace the volume of water.
