Annemone sting or disease?

Hello,
I just put this white tail tang in my 120 yesterday. I have a lot of bta so was nervous to put him in there but have read it's not usually an issue. Now this morning there are white spots all over it. He was qt'd with copper for 30 days, metro, and prazi. All other fish in tank were qt'd the same way. If it is a sting I guess this means I have to remove him? Should go into observation or just put it right into my 90g? Wasn't sure if this was velvet but I would hope not given the qt. Thank you

Those spots are too large to be ich, they are mucus produced by the fish as a reaction to stress or injury. I've never seen that reaction from being stung by a BTA, but there are a lot of anemones in that tank. Also, from what I ca see, most (or all?) of the spots are on the fish's left side? Parasites tend to have a more even distribution all over a fish, while injuries tend to happen more localized like this.

It's mostly on one side and the lips. Both sides of tail. There are some more mild spots on other side. Do you think he needs removed? It looks better than it did a few hours ago but still there. Maybe he will learn the lay of the land of the nems

For the future, this light is too dark and best under white light intensity. Agree with jay on mucus cones and likely began as skin rash/irritation and often confined to the fish itself with others showing no signs but do not rule out symptoms for others - keep an eye on them.
At times, ich may be missed in and if the spots increase in numbers , plan on immediate treatment in separate tank using coppersafe at 2.25 as treatment.

Thank you. I can't figure out how to turn the white lights on sorry! The movies app is not straight forward.
I don't think it's ich. I had a fish with ich before. None of the other fish have any signs but they're all clowns which does lead me to think it was the anemone. I don't know if I should break the tank down and take him out or see how he does?

IDK - your tank has a lot of anemones in it. Fish can “learn” to stay away from them, but if startled, they may still blunder into them from time to time.
