Hello folks, I've searched through here and can't find a similar one but. I bought this lil chap on ebay and its been very happy munching shrimp but any idea on the ID of the thing and is it safe for a reef tank (soft corals, goby, clowns & CUC). What arrived is not like the pictures on ebay and he's not coming forward with a name just its sourced in Malta.
Many thanks folks all help appreciated.

What was it sold to you as? (do you have the picture of what it was advertised at?)
They just sold it as a purple tipped anemone on ebay. Was £16 including postage they picture they had looked like a condy but some of the bad feedback is that its a snakelock anenome.

It looks somewhat like a Condy Anemone I used to have. It definitely was NOT for my tank and it was the biggest pain to remove
It tried to get into the goby cave so I put a glove on and moved it, it was near impossible to get it off my finger. Did yours eat anything it shouldn't have?

It didn't, it latched itself onto my rock and grew SO FAST. It basically took over half of my tank within a couple months, I couldn't really put much else in there

I'm not sure if it's a condy. This is the condy anemone I have in my tank. You can tell the sifference right away just by the color (kind of a translucent blue that changes to purple during the day). They're also a lot "stickier" than regular anemones.
