Hi everyone I just placed an anemone in my tank and it was doing great the first day but the second it’s attachments let go and seemed like they died… can anyone recommend

unfortunately anemones just dont do well in new tanks. This tank looks to be very new so I would recommend finding another reefer that can hold it for you in their tank while your tank matures or see about returning the anemone to the LFS.
This is also a long tentacle anemone and they dont like to be touched by our hands and also settles in the sandbed and not in the rockwork

Agree with age of tank being my first thought on why the nem isn't doing well.

Anemone are very hardy animals but require a certain set of things to survive.

Mature tank - Min of 6 months, year is best.

Stable parameters and lighting capable of reaching sps numbers.

You should also clear a spot down to the glass at the bottom of the tank and get it to attach to the glass then make a deep sand bed around it pvc pipe works or even a clear solo cup works make sure no sharp edges. 3” minimum of sand.
