What is your nitrate reading at ?
What is your phosphate reading at.
Sometimes we this as a result of very very low nutrients.
Basically, scrub as much as possible and get it out of the tank(canister filter filter socks siphon etc. , dose good bacteria like dr tims one and only , and in some cases , dosing the nitrates and phosphates is needed.
Not in my case but I had clients with this problem, use a turkey baster to jet it off, get's vague from here because I don't know the filtration or feeding habits even age of tank and lights all play a role with the problem.
Hair algae sure is a pain. Best way to clean it up is to remove the rocks piece by piece. I use a 10 gallon Rubbermaid container. Throw a rock in there along with 5 gals of saltwater from your tank. Take a shower bristle brush and scrub away. Put that rock back in tank and grab the next rock. Have newly made saltwater ready to replace what you siphoned out during the Rock scrubbing.
That’s awesome I’m also rocking a Red Sea max 250! So I had almost the same thing happen, cut back on feeding and use a less nutrient dense food like frozen food. The algae will start to go away on its own and the blenny and clean up crew will help clear it up too. Why is your overflow gate all the way down? What has been modified on the tank?
this look like byropsis and lotsa film algae as well. Your PO4 and no3 is zero because the algae is consuming it. This happens because your nutrient export method is not sufficient . Please look into your current nutrient export method because a quick fix might give you algae issues in future. For byropsis , look for flucanazole or byropsis buster.
