Hello, everyone. I have a bit of an algae problem in my Fluval Flex 15-gallon tank. I’ve been dealing with some personal issues and, unfortunately, haven’t been able to take care of my fish since August 14 (I do take care of their basic needs like eating etc.). There’s algae on the back wall and mild algae on the glass, and my sponge isn’t tackling the algae problem properly. Any ideas? I also use a white light, which is probably contributing to the algae growth.

I would get in there and manually clean (a scraper will remove anything that isn't on curved glass) and a magic eraser should get the rest. Long term, I would add or replenish your CUC and test phosphate and nitrate to make sure those numbers are in line.
