Wow, Oregon tort don't even look blue compare to that one! Sourse where you got it from?
Way too many lol I picked up a frag of the battle corals love sky recently and will start a progress picture of this one. My favorite blue will always be the heart of the ocean due to the deep coloration.

This is a comparison next to an Oregon tort.

The heart of the ocean came from Lazys Coral House. He listed some up for sale recently.

Lazy does a lot of coral postings and ships. Always healthy corals and some may even be from my tank ;) You can often get chunky frags off him versus other vendors for the same price or cheaper.

Vivids Confetti. Purchased back in 2022 from a local hobbyist and went through no growth and near death for a good year. First picture is from march24 and second picture is from July.

Do you think it could have been acclimation to the metal halides? I run MH also, and it seems like most corals I get from LED users take 3-4 months to acclimate and start growing. But when they do there is an explosion.

Very well possible. I’ve heard this before on a pod cast discussing how it can take some time to adjust. My lights watt for watt are about 50/50 halides and LEDs. Mine tend to sit there for a while and then take off randomly.

My Melanurus wrasse has been missing for over a month and I just assumed he died or jumped behind the tank where I can’t reach. I walked by my rock sump last night and there he was swimming around. Retrieving him involved removing all the rock and giving the rock tub a little cleaning in the process. This rock was a mixture of Florida and Australian Liverock that has been untouched for going on 2 years now. Needless to say this is in fact “Liverock”.

TSA Fruity Pebbles. Picked up from Coral Beauties earlier this year. Unfortunately I did lose this one recently so I’ll be looking for a replacement at the upcoming Ohio Fraginstein swap.
