I've heard of Red Sea having a black friday sale every year but am curious if there are seasonal/normal sales that are known to happen at certain times of the year for the big aquarium companies (Red Sea, Figi, Innovative Marine, etc etc). Let me know if you are familiar with these cyclical sales and when to expect the better sales!
TIA

I've heard and seen a lot of good info on their tanks though. Any reason to NOT get one?
Redsea had a serious issue with tanks that leaked/failed. If you do a search I'm sure you can find many discussions here about it. However they have redesigned their tanks and it appears they've resolved the issue.

You'll find that most sales are in the Summer or at the typical major holidays.

Waterbox and Glass Cages are also brands to consider. Both have been good in my 50 years of experience buying tanks.

I love my IM 200. The only issue I had was there was a small crack in the front corner panel that I didn't catch it when the tank was delivered. They wouldn't cover it through the warranty because I signed off on the delivery. So I had no choice but to pay for another replacement tank. I saw at least 2 other posts on Facebook of people with the same exact issue. For my replacement tank, I made sure to inspect every square inch of it before the delivery driver left.

Not in my opinion. I think they arguably make the "best value" tank out there. I have a 40 gallon Nuvo Black (non-AIO), two of their Nuvo Fusion 10's, and two of their Nuvo Fusion 15's AIO's, and just tonight I ordered one of their 25 gallon AIO lagoon tanks to use as a frag tank. I think most here would say that IM is a solid tank, good build quality, with a solid following here at R2R. A great value for sure, not the premium option, if that's what you're after.

I just ordered my newest tank tonight right through IM, 20% off typical, with no sales tax added on my purchase (which I'll be absolutely sure to remit on next years tax return :) ). The tank was also offered through BRS and Amazon, but IM directly had the best bottom line price.

You do see Innovative Marine advertising 50% off sales frequently, but this is for their custom, built to order tanks that are big money to start with, and that 50% off is a nice deal. For their stock tanks, a 20% discount (going on currently) is a great deal.

RedSea has a big following here, but definitely does have some instances of leaking, so please do some more research. I think their appeal is that they include a lot of gear, which makes some decision making easier for some reefers, but I personally like to choose my gear, and would suggest an IM over the RedSea, just my opinion.

Some other options you may want to check out (in no particular order):
Tenecor seems to be temporarily and possibly permanently out of business. FijiCube may be an option to check out (from them or from BRS), but I have read some negatives about their tanks coming in scratched, and they were difficult to work with after the sale. That's just what I've read in my research for two new tanks.

I know that Innovative Marine is currently doing a pre-Black Friday sale, and I know that historically SC Aquariums does a big Black Friday sale. I am currently waiting for an SC Aquariums 150 gallon to go on sale, and I plan on ordering that tank.

I hope this helps, and best of luck!

I had one, and I really loved it. I have a proclear now and love it too.
I was looking for a tank, and stopped by one of my LFS's today, and they told me about ProClear. Absolutely never heard of them before, but looks like a decent tank builder the OP may want to consider.

And here I am, I've got some non-fish related YouTube videos going on the TV near me, and I just saw an ad saying Waterbox is now offering 20% off!

I just realized I am literally 30 minutes from Glass Cages location in TN... had no idea they were located here. Wondering if I should just seek out a quote from them for a nice setup.
I have never owned a GlassCages tank, but their reputation here at R2R is very, very good. The owner, Joe, is an active member here, and will gladly engage with you right here on R2R, if you want.

All you have to do is tag him in here by typing the "at" sign on your keyboard (shift+2) and then JoeGlassCages, and he will be right here to help you. I will leave it up to you if you're "ready" to ask for his help. One time I started a thread just kind of asking about a new tank, and several reefers here jumped in a tagged both Joe and (at the time) the owner of Tencor Aquariums, and I felt a little uncomfortable, like I was wasting their time since I wasn't ready to buy just then.

That said, I'm now ready for a new tank, and I recently did contact Glass Cages via their website for a quote. They responded immediately, answered all my questions, and absolutely never made me feel either pressured or that I was wasting their time. In the end, I decided I am like 99% sure I'm going to go with a tank from SC Aquariums only because I am simply a budget reefer, and the SC Aquariums tanks are indeed a budget option (good, made in china). Glass Cages makes some really, really nice tanks, they may not be the cheapest option, but if you're looking for a premium solution, I wouldn't hesitate to suggest Glass Cages based on my research ans my interaction with Joe and his son Silas. Top notch, in my opinion.

And if you're local to GlassCages, so much the better :)

Good luck with whatever you decide!
