I have a 180g that was upgraded from a 90g that was running for 4 yrs. I currently have the following fish below and planning to add some more fishes. I do want to go with some species that will shoal and anthias comes to mind but too pricey at the moment to get a nice group going. So next option are Chromis. Anyone seeing any issues with adding 10 or 11 of them at once? If any of the LFS has a nice naso I may pick one up as well. I have a good amount of live rock and about 40% of them were live gulf rock with an oversize skimmer.

blue hippo
powder brown
scopa tang
bristtletooth tang
one spot foxface
female clown
male clown
flame angel
pajama cardinal
leopard wrasse
juvenile bannerfish

No issues with cohabitation, but I’d highly suggest quarantining them. They are extremely prone to uronema.

I have up on having a group of chromis. I tried groups of 7 twice and both times I ended up with one.
Yep seems to be a common occurrence with them. I've read some having success with larger aggressive fish so hopefully the tangs can keep them in check.

Lyretail anthias are the best at keeping the chromis from killing each other, in my experience.

I had the best success once I kept a school of lyretails.
