I think bakers yeast and Artemia nauplii are the only two prepared food to have been shown to affect coral growth. Since I learned about the backyard culture method for Tigriopus, I'm curious as to whether they would be an effective coral food, particularly for young corals.

Makes me wonder if Acropora are more enticed to catch food sources which are alive, than freeze dried versions of the same thing.. something to test, I guess!

I set up two containers in late summer this year and was able to achieve pretty good Tigriopus density with only a little banana peel and tank water. Supposedly they overwinter without issue and restart themselves in the spring. It's been a fun little experiment.
